About Me

I have been a teacher for over 12 years. I have two bachelor's degrees from the University of North Georgia and a master's degree from Brenau University. I specialize in middle grades science, social studies, and special populations, including servicing students who are gifted or have disabilities. I also have my own business as a STEM application designer or content writer.  My client is the Monterey Bay Research Institute and Quest Institute for Quality Education. I hope to be able to share parts of that game with my classes soon. You can check out my client's webpage to see how they won the money to build the application.

In my time away from school, I love living in the mountains and being outdoors. My husband and I have two little boys, Connor and August. In addition, we have two German Shepherds, Pal and Zella, and a Chihuahua, Laney. I like other animals too, but have my hands full with dogs at this time. Pal is my son Connor's autism service dog, and we have been training him with a professional training program. Other activities I enjoy are taking my dogs for a walk, reading, creative writing, swimming, and gardening.

Right now, everything is very uncertain, but I want to reassure you, I will be checking on each student frequently. If you get stressed or worried about something, please reach out to me. I hope to have an amazing year with you!
